Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. The father of her Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley as well as her mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was evident right from the day she began attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. After her first audition she was ranked among the top two athletes in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships, for 200 meters in just 10 weeks. Felix has graduated from high school in 2003 signed a sports contract with Adidas. She then was accepted into at the University of Southern California and completed her studies in elementary education. Felix took home her first Olympic Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics that took place in Athens Greece. She set a Junior World Record by running 200 metres in 22.18 second. She became the world's youngest champion in 200 meters at the Helsinki World Championships. She was able to defend her title in 2007, beating her longtime Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix competed at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and was consistently within the top three athletes in each of her events.
