Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is an Irish model and actress. Her debut in a feature film was a small part on the Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). Later, she portrayed Nazi-sympathising Archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 1989). Siobhan Donevan in A Prayer for the Dying (1997), Charlotte Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery Major League II (1994) also play roles. A photographer approached Doody. Doody decided to take up modeling that eventually led to an industry-related career in modelling. Doody avoided nude and glamour work. This was a principle that she incorporated into her acting. Doody was offered a tiny part as Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill after she was noticed by the director of casting. Doody made an appearance on John Willis Screen World Volume 2 as one of 12 promising young actors for the year 1986. 38. Doody is only 18 when she played the part of Doody in the film A Prayer for the Dying (1987) which starred Mickey Rourke, is the youngest Bond Girl to date. A Prayer for the Dying which starred Mickey Rourke also had a performance by Doody, playing IRA Siobhan. Doody was a silent actor in a 1987 film adaptation of The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream wife Lilias. She was Sapsorrow in an episode of Jim Henson's fable show The Storyteller, opposite John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The actress starred alongside Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Elsa Schneider, an Austrian Nazi sympathizer as well as a archaeologist from the forensic field in the 1989 movie Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. It also featured Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody has acted alongside three actors who have portrayed James Bond. Doody played the role in the British series Selling Hitler with Jonathan Pryce. Also Doody was as a character in Benjamin's Struggle (2005), an essay on the Holocaust. Doody had a minor role in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture (2010). The following year, she had been scheduled scheduled to play the lead role in The Asphyx remake, but that project fell through. Pam Jefferson, the character she played in E4's comedy Beaver Falls during its first season, which ran for two seasons. In 2014, she was a part of We Still Kill the Old Way. In November of 2018 she was awarded the Almeria Tierra de Cinema Award and received a Star on the Walk of Fame in Almeria.
